Ipswich V Palace Report

A good game if your an Ipswich fan, very, very disapointing if like me your a Palace fan, I could write a big list of what was wrong with Crystal Palace, but all of you will already know, Peter Taylor has just said he was pleased with the way we played, even though it wasnt one of our better games, 'neither was it one of our worst games',he said, he also has just said that Speroni was in for a ear full for coming out of his area and getting booked.

Well Mr Taylor, by looking at todays game you must now realise we have no pace, no decent crossers of the ball, no decent passers of the ball, no wonder our strikers looked out of touch out there.

Ipswich looked comfortable from the start, putting Palace under pressure for much of the match,Best chance for Palace came from a Stuart Green Freekick, just saved by the keeper and tipped behind for a corner, the only other talking point of the first half was when Speroni came out of his area and got trapped by the corner flag then having the ball kicked at him which hit his elbow, linesman indicated a corner, as he was right on it, but the Ref gave handball and booked Speroni, Ipswich fans and players calling for him to be sent off, but the hand ball didnt prevent a goal scoring oppotunity, so a yellow card was fair(or was it).

Second half was up and down again, with Ipswich having the better of it, their pressure paid off when Walters got on the end of a neat Gary Roberts cross to head home, a double save from Speroni kept the score at 1-0.
